Tony Shepherd
Tony Shepherd is the host of Capital's late night music & entertainment show Monday - Thursday 10 - 2am and Sunday 12-4pm.... it's the perfect place to come and chill after work or on your Sunday afternoon.
Tony's Talking About
This week Tony is mostly talking about the brand new Katy Perry doll. Fresh from endorsing cherry chapsticks, the 'I Kissed A Girl' star will now have a 12 inch doll created in her likeness. Take a look at Katy's doll here>>
More about Tony
Tony loves showbiz and has jetted across all over the world to hang out with the stars. But although he's had the chance to hang out with Will Smith in Hawaii, chill with Jamie Foxx in Miami and chew over a ‘Royale with cheese' with Samuel L Jackson in the South of France - he still prefers good old London town!
'My favourite interview so far has to be Angelina Jolie', he adds - however he won't comment why - we think it's pretty obvious though!
Music...
Most embarrassing track on my iPod? I stumbled across a track by Liz McLarnon the other day, which is even worse than having one from Atomic Kitten on there. I blame some random compilation CD I must have loaded into I-tunes! (Honest).
Who would your ideal guest be? With this job I've been lucky enough to interview some of the world's biggest stars. I'd still love to interview Jack Nicholson though (he rarely gives interviews) and then hit the town!
First album I bought: Now That's What I Call Music (when they were in single figures and still had the pig on the front) it was a double cassette.
Favourite live music venue: I've still not managed to get to a gig at the 02 Arena, but everyone I know who has been say its great. Koko in Camden is good though.
Life in London...
What's your favourite London place? Embankment, when the sun is setting.
Favourite Restaurant in London: Mango Tree in Belgravia for Thai food and Awana in Chelsea for the best Malaysian cuisine this side of Kuala Lumpur.
Favourite place to get away from it all in town: The petting zoo in Battersea Park .
Favourite place to go shopping : Shopping is for girls!
Favourite show you've seen in London: Guys and Dolls when Ewan McGregor was in it was good, also Billy Elliot.
Tell us a little known fact about this glorious city of ours: Although the Great Fire Of London destroyed much of the city, only six people were killed.
Time to get personal...
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? Never eat yellow snow.
What's your favourite movie and why? Back To The Future. I used to watch it every day I got home from school, with a HUGE tub of ice-cream (I was a latchkey kid).
Which bit of your body do you like the least? My feet! You try getting size 13 shoes! Places only go up to size 11, and if they do end up having any, they're normally some dusty old pair of white Dunlop ‘pumps' that haven't seen the light of day since the coal miners were on strike.
What were you like at school? Well put it this way - I got to know the bit of carpet outside the Headmaster's office VERY well.
I'm ill, please get me... The whole damn chemist shop....(always read the label)
Worst job I ever had... Selling double glazing over the phone when I was in the sixth form. Although it was a laugh as I got to wind up Roger Cook from TV's The Cook Report. How was I meant to know he was going to be on the list of ‘Cooks' I had to call.
Facebook is.. . a bit boring now.
The first thing I do when I get out of the Capital studio is... dodge the fights outside in Leicester Square in the early hours.
